Democrats Prove How Elitist They Are While Discussing Gas Prices

Pete Buttigieg started telling Americans to go out and buy electric cars this week as a solution to Americans reeling from extremely high gas prices at the pump. He has also pushed Americans to start using public transportation.

In a demeaning speech this week, Pete Buttigieg said “Clean transportation could bring big cost savings for the American people as well,” promoting Joe Biden’s $5 billion plan to boost America’s electric charging network.

Instead of announcing any changes in policy that would return us to what was once America’s energy independence, Pete Buttigieg seemed to only double down on the dismal policies of the Biden Administration, “So the people from suburban, to rural, to urban communities could all benefit from the extra savings of driving an electric vehicle instead of a gas powered vehicle,” he stated. The failed pres. candidate spoke at The WH with Kamala Harris to help promote clean transportation after the avg. cost of gas soared over $4 a gallon last weekend.

Buttigieg took the normal leftist position of doubling down on climate change rhetoric instead of addressing the actual elephant in the room. “In America’s economy, transportation is the largest contributor to changes in our climate,” he stated disapprovingly. As Breitbart News reported, “He has promoted Joe Biden’s effort to transition public transit to electric buses and has encouraged all Americans to start riding buses instead of driving their own cars to reduce pollution.”

One of our best tools that we have for doing that is by using public transit; transit gets everyone where they need to be affordably and efficiently with much less pollution from driving cars,” he claimed, asserting that electric buses “do not pollute at all.”

Pete Buttigieg is just reiterating a position that Joe Biden has long taken, that is that Americans ought to purchase an electric car. There is nothing novel about his speech. Joe Biden’s administration is just showing their lack of willingness to go back to the energy independence the way America had under President Donald Trump. Instead, they will continue to reverse all the policies President Donald Trump effectively implemented during his administration.
