Far-Left CEOs Are Now Admitting Trump Was Right

Last week, Vox founder Ezra Klein published an op-ed in The New York Times urging the Biden administration to take action against TikTok’s impact on society.

He also touched upon TikTok’s popularity in the United States. Calling the most popular social media platform a potential national security threat, owing to its Chinese owner and the capacity to influence people through algorithms and weaponized propaganda.

“TikTok is a Chinese firm, and it’s owned by ByteDance. And Chinese firms are susceptible to the wishes of the Chinese government,” Klein added.

“There is no room for misunderstanding on this matter,” he continued. “The Chinese Communist Party has been cracking down on its technology industry for the past year. They made an example of Jack Ma, the high-flying Alibaba founder.”

“The quiet part was spoken out loud: CEOs will act in line with party wishes, or their lives and companies will be turned upside down.”

Many Americans recall that former President Trump issued an executive order in August 2020 to prohibit TikTok from running in the United States. The order was never implemented, but Klein thinks the Biden administration should start with Trump’s executive order and regulate TikTok.

Most surprisingly, Klein acknowledged that Trump was correct about TikTok being a national security risk, adding, “On this issue, Donald Trump was correct, and the Biden administration should complete what he started.”

Many Americans are becoming more aware of TikTok’s enormous power.

The Biden administration has previously tried and failed to enlist the app’s most prominent names to educate the public about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. While also assigning responsibility for rising gas prices to Vladimir Putin.

Now, with Klein’s latest comments, it appears that even Trump’s most vocal opponents are finally beginning to understand what TikTok is all about. At the very least on this topic, it seems that both sides of the aisle can agree if they choose.
