The New York Times is once again reporting fake news hoping to damage President Donald Trump’s re-election. In fact, in one of their big articles over the weekend, they claim former President George W. Bush is one of the big players in the GOP who will be campaigning against Trump. Well, the former president just set them straight. You’ll love this.

The New York Times is once again acting like a wing of the Democratic Party. Whatever happened to fact-checking sources and quotes before you claim something is the truth?

The NYT reported Saturday that a slew of high-profile Republicans do not plan on supporting Trump’s reelection. Included in that list was Bush, and the NYT cited “people familiar with their thinking.”

Immediately, George W. Bush told his spokesman, Freddy Ford, to set the record straight.

“Former President George W. Bush’s spokesman vehemently denied an article from the New York Times that alleged he would not be voting for President Donald Trump in 2020,” Daily Caller reports.

“This is completely made up,” Bush’s spokesman Freddy Ford said in an email, according to the Texas Tribune. “He is retired from presidential politics and has not indicated how he will vote.”

The NYT has not yet updated its article with Ford’s statement denying the report. The Democrats are touting the article as their proof that Trump is in trouble.

“Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Mr. Bush, said the former president would stay out of the election and speak only on policy issues, as he did this week in stating that the country must ‘examine our tragic failures’ on race,” the NYT article does note.

Powell has been vocal about his decision, saying on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday that he “cannot in any way support President Trump this year.”

Other Republicans who reportedly won’t be voting for Trump this year include Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, Arizona Sen. John McCain’s widow Cindy McCain, and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, the NYT reported. Well, no one is shocked by these swamp dwellers. They did not support the president in 2016.

However, it is a big deal that George W. Bush, who also did not support Trump in 2016, is making such a stink over the Times piece.

The leftwing media is also trying to make Americans believe that those who are still out protesting and rioting are in the majority. They want you to believe it’s mainstream to advocate for the “defund the police” campaign.

On Saturday, the Antifa and Black Lives Matter crowd attempted to gaslight Americans into believing they had one million people protesting in Washington, D.C.

In reality, only about 10,000 protesters showed up.

“Not surprisingly the media hyped the thousands that did attend resulting in a skewed reality that was/is disconnected from the actual result,” Conservative Treehouse reports. “In media, you would think there was a massive alignment of social interests. However, if you look at the reception rate for the message, there’s a big disconnect.”

“Defund The Police” is not working outside the most severe leftist woke groups.

“Perhaps people are burned-out with the constant demand for outrage; or perhaps people have caught-on to the manipulation,” CTH adds. “I’m not sure what specifically is driving the lack of engagement; but people are just going on with their lives while the constant drumbeat of shouting voices is being blasted at them. The drumbeat is loud, perhaps one of the loudest ever, but the drumbeat is also astroturf and not organic. This appears to be part of the reason for the disconnect.”

Even Joe Biden canceled his attendance at George Floyd’s final memorial. Americans are ready to move on.

While most Americans were aghast at the killing of Floyd, the leftists using his demise to push for radical ideas like defunding the police, or making him out to be a martyr, aren’t gaining any traction.

Conservative activist Candace Owens summed up how most Americans feel.

In the 18-minute video clip, Owens clearly condemns police officer Derek Chauvin’s murder of Floyd but also examines Floyd’s criminal record and challenges the narrative that celebrates him as a hero.

“I am not going to accept the narrative that this is the best the black community has to offer,” she insists. “Nobody thinks he should have died during this arrest but what I find despicable is that everyone is pretending this man lived a heroic lifestyle when he didn’t.”

Owens notes that Floyd was high on fentanyl and methamphetamine at the time of his death, according to the autopsy report, and goes on to cite his record which includes jail sentences in 1998, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007.

His 2007 arrest, she continues, was for participating in an armed home invasion against a pregnant African-American woman, where Floyd held a gun to the pregnant mother’s stomach.

Owens challenges the idea of lifting Floyd up as a hero.

“We are the only people that fight and scream and demand support and justice for the people in our community that are up to no good,” she says. “We are being sold a lot of lies and at the detriment of the black and the white community and at the detriment to America as a whole.”

Owens also questioned the narrative of police brutality. “A police officer is 18 and a half times more likely to be killed by a black person than the other way around,” says Owens.

The mainstream media are hoping they can put their thumbs on the scale to help Joe Biden win this election. They want you to believe a vast majority of Americans are out in the streets enraged by the police. But the facts just don’t back up their wild claims.

Many thanks to George W. Bush for reminding us just how frequently they will lie in their quest to “transform America.”
