U.S. Reps. Jerry McNerney and Anna Eshoo, have sent a letter to numerous media platforms including Alphabet, Apple and Verizon regarding their anxiety over right-wing ‘lies’.
Michael Tracey tweeted the letters:
Two Democratic members of Congress are pressuring the CEOs of the country’s major TV providers to essentially purge the news networks these Members don’t like, on the basis of the alleged danger posed by “misinformation and conspiracy theories” https://t.co/QyNyy0dPdX pic.twitter.com/DcxX68sLNt

The letter starts with, “Our nation’s discourse is plagued by misinformation. These phenomena led to the radicalization of certain individuals who committed acts of insurrection.” The letter goes on and stresses information gathered from what seems to be liberal media.
The second part of the letter contains questions which the representatives want answers to by March 8th. The final question in that last is “Will you continue carrying Newsmax, Fox News, and OANN on your platform now and beyond any contract renewal date?”
This question appears to be a push by the Congressmen to coerce these corporations to remove right-leaning media.
The final page of the letter lits the sources for the letter. These sources include USA Today, Washington Post, and co-executive producer of Vox, Peter Kafka.
This move is not surprising as Democrats and the fringe left push their agenda hard after the election. This won’t be the last we see of this agenda. More censorship is coming.
