As we’ve previously reported, there has been no shortage of panicked nuttery coming from Democrats since news broke Friday night of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing.
While prominent liberal commentators and activists have threatened to burn the country down by way of even more violent riots, Democratic leaders including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have not ruled out trying to impeach President Trump and Attorney General Bill Barr in a desperate attempt to keep Trump’s next SCOTUS nominee off the bench.
“These are procedures and decisions that are largely up to House Democratic leadership,” AOC said Sunday during a news conference with Schumer. “But I believe that also we must consider, again all of the tools available in our disposal and that all of these options should be entertained and on the table.”
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany did not waste time addressing talk of impeachment during today’s press briefing, where she tore into Pelosi, Schumer and AOC in her opening remarks before giving them a much-needed lesson on the Constitution:
Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have officially shown their blatant disregard for the United States Constitution. Apparently, it is now a high crime and misdemeanor worthy of impeachment for a lawfully elected President of the United States to exercise his constitutional duty.
Article Two, Section Two of the Constitution clearly states that the President, quote, “shall nominate,” end quote, justices of the Supreme Court when a vacancy occurs. No matter the time, no matter the politics of the day, the President is the President. There is nothing in the Constitution that says the President stops being the President in an election year.
The President has already appointed two strong, conservative justices to the Supreme Court — justices who will interpret the Constitution as written. Now he will nominate a third.

Immediately after her full opening statement where she quoted other Democrats who were floating dangerous ideas like packing the Supreme Court and/or expanding it, McEnany took questions from CNN performance journalist chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, who she shredded for trying to paint Trump as a murderer over the fact than 200,000 Americans have died from the Wuhan coronavirus.
