A mammoth convoy of trucks have set out to protest the vaccine mandates for truckers at the Canada-U.S. border – and reports indicate it may be the largest convoy of trucks ever recorded.
The string of trucks – known as “The Freedom Convoy” – is currently crossing Canada and is also protesting the fact that drivers are being forced to wear masks in trucks.
“According to Guinness World Records, the longest truck convoy ever recorded was 7.5 km long, in Egypt in 2020. The Freedom Convoy heading from British Columbia to Ottawa is said to be considerably longer,” The Toronto Sun reports.
The truckers hope to make it to Ottawa, Canada’s capital, by Saturday to stage their protest. If the convoy holds together, “it could be 10 times larger than the world record,” The Sun noted.
Guinness states, “The largest parade of trucks consisted of 480 trucks and is achieved by Tahya Misr Fund (Egypt), in Cairo, Egypt, on 20 November 2020. With a length of 7.5 km, Tahya Misr Fund was able to organize a parade of 480 trucks, amid the harsh weather and heavy rain, breaking the Guinness World Records title for the largest parade of trucks, which was achieved 16 years ago in the Netherlands with a parade size of 416 trucks.”
The trucks are coming from all over and some estimates have speculated that the convoy may be made up of up to 10,000 trucks all fighting against the tyrannical mandate.
Benjamin Dichter, spokesman for the Freedom Convoy 2022, told the Sun, “It’s 70 km long…I have seen footage from an airplane. It’s impressive.”
The Freedom Convoy’s GoFundMe site has already raised a massive six million dollars for the cause.
The site states in detail what they plan to do with the money raised:

Our current government is implementing rules and mandates that are destroying the foundation of our businesses, industries and livelihoods. Canadians have been integral to the fabric of humanity in many ways that have shaped the planet.
We are a peaceful country that has helped protect nations across the globe from tyrannical governments who oppressed their people, and now it seems it is happening here. We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people. Small businesses are being destroyed, homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities to survive. It’s our duty as Canadians to put an end to this mandates. It is imperative that this happens because if we don’t our country will no longer be the country we have come to love. We are doing this for our future Generations and to regain our lives back.
We are asking for Donations to help with the costs of fuel first, and hopefully food and lodgings to help ease the pressures of this arduous task.
