What Kamala Harris Just Said About Electric Vehicles Makes Everyone Laugh

Vice President Kamala Harris has said she does not have her eyes on the United States Supreme Court seat during a new interview and also spoke about her “love” for electric vehicles.

When asked by CBS host Margaret Brennan about the possible Supreme Court aspirations, Harris said she likes having more of an impact on daily policy.

“I am much more active, I believe in terms of — not that Supreme Court Justices do not have such a huge impact,” Harris stated. “But right now, I like what I’m getting done.”

Harris said she also loves electrical vehicles.

“I’m a geek when it gets down to it, and what we have the ability to do,” Harris said.

The VP recently attended an electric car demonstration during the tour of the Brandywine Maintenance Facility in Maryland. The tour was meant to highlight the investments in electric cars as part of the White House’s new infrastructure policies.

It was during this demonstration that Harris seemed unfamiliar with the electric car charging process, causing many to mock her on social media.

During her interview with Brennan, VP Harris said that electric vehicles are crucial to her because of the harm that diesel fumes do to children’s health.

She also spoke about her ability, as the first female VP, to show families they don’t have to be confined by past norms.

“I think about empowering their children to know they can do anything they plan, not be confined by who has really done what,” Harris said. “I believe that is one of the things that gives me happiness.”

Harris also said that injustice gets her revved up and that fairness is a top priority for her.

Where to start? First off, VP Kamala Harris is not an “electric car geek,” if she were she would have known how to plug one up. But during a very embarrassing moment recently she did not understand that when you charge a car through an electrical outlet, there is no sound of gasoline coming through. This seemed to be more than her simply demonstrating for the “dumb masses,” it looked like her truly confused about how the charging worked.
