“Whoopi Goldberg is ‘livid’ because of being suspended from ‘The View’… and is now telling co-workers she is planning on quitting the show, according to a source,” per the New York Post.
Whoopi Goldberg was placed on a two-week suspension by ABC News after she claimed that Nazi atrocities are not motivated by race. Goldberg was referring to the Holocaust when she said, “This is white people doing it to white people. You all go fight amongst yourselves.”
“The Holocaust is not about race,” she said, even though Hitler often referred to the “Jewish race” and thought of Aryans as the “master race.”
So, according to Hitler, the Holocaust was violence that was white-on-white or something.
Whoopi Goldberg apologized later in a tweet but after that seemed to take her apology back when she appeared on the late show with far-left Stephen Colbert.
Now she is humiliated because of a suspension, and the scuttle is that the “humiliation” is enough to cause her to resign:
“The source said that even though Goldberg is taking the suspension hard and is saying that she wants to walk away from the show, insiders think she is probably just sounding off.”
“This has hurt her ego, and she is telling people she is quitting,” the source said. “Being Suspended from ‘The View’ is like being suspended from Bravo. It is a very low bar.”
Reportedly her terrible co-hosts are upset, as well:
“As the news of the suspension spread around the network, it not only made Goldberg angry but also her co-hosts on the talk show.”
“I love Whoopi Goldberg and ‘The View,’” Ana Navarro told the Daily Beast. “This incident was incredibly unfortunate. Whoopi Goldberg has been a ally to the Jewish community her whole life.. She is not an anti-Semite, for sure. This just makes me sad. And I have nothing else to say.”
During that View segment, Goldberg condemned the Holocaust, so she is not wrist-flicking it. The thing is, she thinks of Jews as white, which is very stupid, but do we really want to live in a country that punishes you for having that sort of opinion, and told by your boss, as the suspension comment put it, “to learn about the affects of her statement.”
